JC Anderson had never been to Tennessee’s campus before traveling to Knoxville on Monday. But he had heard enough good things about the program to know that there was a good chance he would come away impressed with the Vols.

The Class of 2026 tight end from Mt. Zion (Illinois) High School said his visit to Tennessee on Monday for its first spring practice turned out to be “one of the better experiences I’ve had.” He picked up a scholarship offer from the Vols while he was there, and he said they’re now “up there” in his mind on the fast-growing list of major programs pursuing him.

The 6-foot-6, 230-pound Anderson has received 14 of his 15 offers within the past two months. Ole Miss gave him his latest offer on Wednesday, and he said he was happy to add an offer from Tennessee during Monday’s visit.

Cedar Rapids Kennedy 2025 four-star offensive lineman Nick Brooks made his first visit to Iowa City as a recruit since decommitting from the Hawkeyes in November.

Brooks, who stands at 6-foot-7, 345-pounds, will take an official visit to Iowa in June, and got to see Iowa up close on Thursday as well as talk to the coaching staff.
