Toronto Raptors fan Drake must have thought it was fitting to name-drop Lou Williams in his song. Over time, the two developed a strong friendship as well. Drake’s “6 Man” is about the 37-year-old former NBA player, who became the franchise’s first Sixth Man of the Year. It made perfect sense for Drake to give him a shoutout. But mentioning his two girlfriends wasn’t probably the right idea.

The Canadian rapper revealed William’s personal love life, which possibly ended up costing the NBA star a potential million-dollar deal. At least the Raptors star believes so a “1000%.”

After an impressive 2014-15 season with Williams, the Raptors didn’t re-sign their Sixth Man. In the latest episode of Underground Lounge, Williams shared that there were rumors suggesting the Raptors didn’t offer him a deal due to his reputation. The word was they didn’t resign me back to Toronto because of my lifestyle. They said I was bad influence,” Williams said.

When asked if it was the song that let the news out about him having two girlfriends, Williams was quick to say yes. The lyrics go, “6 Man like Lou Will, 2 girls and they get along like I’m (Lou)…”
