Tuesday night was a nightmare for the Seagulls as they lost badly against Luton Town 4-0 and Pedro hobbled off the field due to a knee injury.

Concerning the 22-year-old, De Zerbi stated during the match, “We hope it’s not a bad injury because we need him.”

Sadly, the Italian was still unable to provide a comprehensive response to queries on Pedro’s fitness at a news conference on Friday. He did, however, state that the attacker will have a late fitness test on Saturday before the game at 3pm.

Ansu Fati might start on the bench against the Eagles, according to the Brighton manager, who did reaffirm that James Milner will remain out for some time.

“I believe James Milner won’t be able to play for the next two, three, or four games,” stated De Zerbi. Tomorrow, we’ll make a decision with Joao [Pedro]. Ansu Fati might be able to play some, but I’m not sure how much.

De Zerbi declared, “It’s difficult to analyse the game,” indicating that he was eager to put the terrifying Luton show behind him as soon as possible. In the thirty years I’ve worked in football, we have never let up two goals in two minutes.

We had an extremely difficult game, but I have faith in my players as individuals. We must turn the page and focus solely on the game tomorrow. We engaged in the worst game I’ve ever played.

He described the opposition on Saturday as “Crystal Palace, a very good team.” They possess four excellent strikers. They have several really significant midfield players as well.

“The game is challenging, but that’s true of all games.” Our attention is on our work and style.
